Season 6 begins next week and it's all very exciting and glee making BUT please bear in mind that not everyone will be able to watch episodes as they air and not everyone wants to see spoilers in advance (there's a reason they call it spoiled, after all!).

So, in the interests of keeping everything as co-operative and polite as possible, here is a reminder of our spoiler rules:

-Please try to keep your teaser icons as spoiler free as possible. (ie. avoid images of new characters, any ships that go canon in that episode, major plot points, etc)
- No icons from an episode may be posted outside an LJ cut until 24 hours after the official US air date. That means NONE, NADA NOT EVEN A LICK, A CLOSE UP, HELL NOT EVEN THE NEW TITLE CREDITS until 24 hours after the episode finishes airing. Any posts violating this will be deleted as soon as they are seen (and trust me, I'm here pretty much any time I'm not sleeping.)
- YOU MUST warn for spoilers for one week, and try to keep any plot sensitive images under the cut. (ie, a note to the effect of "Contains spoilers for episode 6.XX" or similar must be CLEARLY contained in the pimping post. Above, under or within the link are EXCELLENT choices.)
- After one week, you may post freely though it is still good manners to warn for any recent episodes.

If you spot a post that you feel violates this (or just have a general question) feel free to PM me.

We'll be firm on this. Posts violating these rules will be deleted immediately and the poster contacted so they can repost sans-spoilers. Repeated offences will get the offenders on moderated posting status until the end of the season so we can try to keep you all chugging along happily.

This is my first series of icons for my spnsupporting character table. This one centres around my favorite of the Special Children, the adorable Andy Gallagher.

Just a couple of quick things (this should be the last modly post for a while, barring any unforeseen huge blow ups or something.)

Firstly, just a reminder that the actor: [name] tags are for posts in which the actors appear in other roles/as themselves ONLY and should not be used for posts that only feature the actor in their Supernatural role. That's what the character tags are for!

For example: Castiel icons should be tagged with the character: castiel tag, posts with icons of Misha at cons/photoshoots/in other shows or movies use the actor: misha collins tag. :D

Secondly, and more importantly, the rules have been given a brush up. Please take a few moments to review them:

I'm temporalranger and me and yume_odori are your new mods. santacarlagypsy will be hanging around, but mainly just to help us with all the back tagging so if you have any issues with the comm, me or Yume would be your best bets :) We're both excited and full of ideas for this comm.

Ok, now on to the meat of the post: supernatu_icons now has a tagging system in place. We ask that you please tag your posts using the existing tags :)

A brief overview:

! Tags

These are for mod use only, bbs. Don't worry over much about them. ;)

Actor: Tags

Tag format: actor: first name last name eg actor: misha collins

These are to be used for icons where the focus is the actor, not the character they play in Supernatural.

For example, I would use this tag if my post contained images of Misha Collins at a con/photoshoot but not if it only contained Castiel images. However, if I was using pictures of Misha in another of his roles, say Jacob in the upcoming Stonehenge Apocalypse, I'd use this tag.

Please note that actor here is used in the gender neutral sense so females will also be found under actor. Eg actor: alona tal.

Character: Tags

Tag format: character: name eg character: john winchester

These are used to denote which characters appear in your post. Please use only for images of the character in context, not for the actor.

There are a few characters where they are played by multiple actors, so you may notice for example that we have character: john winchester, character: john winchester (adult) and character: john winchester (young) tags. In these cases, please use all that are applicable.

If the character you want is not listed, please use the appropriate character: other tag. Current subcategories include character: other (angel), character: other (demon), character: other (human female), character: other (human male), character: other (motw) and character: other (pagan god).

For the purposes of simplicity, the impala is filed under the character tags.

Ep: Tags

Tag Format: ep: [seasonxep#]title eg ep: 5x18 point of no return

Please tag for any eps you use caps from. :) Mods will help out if needed.

Other: Tags

Tag Format: other: description

This is mainly for icons other than episode specific ones. Use the other tags for convention photos, photo shoots, promo pics, shots of the actors in other roles (the other show/movie tag), back stage shots etc.

Pairing: Tags

Tag Format: pairing: person a/person b eg pairing: castiel/dean/sam

There are tags here for both real person and character pairings (and a few trios). If the applicable pairing is not listed, please use the appropriate pairing: other (het/slash/femmeslash) tag.

Persons in the pairing are in alphabetical order to avoid ending up with multiple tags for the same pairing.

Season: Tags

Please tag for all seasons you use caps from.

Style: Tags

Animated or text only icons? Use these tags so people can find them :D

Mods will create new tags as neccessary.
